The short version (for kids)

Who we are

Cloud Jumper is a game made by Red Pharos. In this policy "we" means us. We are responsible for the information described here. You can contact us at support@redpharos.com.

What we collect, and why

Cloud Jumper works without an account. In the iPhone and iPad app, the only information that leaves your device is the leaderboard entry below. (Playing on the website also involves the Google services described under "The website".)

WhatWhenWhyWhere it is kept
Up to 3 letters or numbers you type, plus the level and coins you reached Only if your game makes the top 3 and you choose to type them To show the top 3 to all players Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), London, UK. Visible to everyone who plays.

We don't add your name, email, device, location or anything else to a leaderboard entry, and we can't use it to work out who you are. Please don't type a real name.

Information that stays on your device

The game keeps these on your own device so it remembers them next time. We never receive them:

You can remove all of it by deleting the app, or on the website by clearing the site's data in your browser. This also deletes any unspent coins and gems.

Buying gems (iPhone and iPad app)

Gem packs are optional. Before any purchase a grown-up must answer a check in the game. Payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store: we never see card or bank details, your name or your Apple account. Apple tells the game which pack was bought and a transaction number, which the game uses only to add the gems on your device. Apple's own privacy policy applies to the payment.

The website

This page is also published at www.redpharos.com/cloudjumper, which is covered by the Red Pharos website privacy notice.

What we never do

Children

Cloud Jumper is made for players of all ages, including children under 13. We have designed it to collect as little as possible: there are no accounts, and adding 3 letters or numbers to the leaderboard is optional and only offered after a top-3 game. If you are a parent or carer and think your child has typed something personal on the leaderboard, contact us and we will remove it.

How long we keep it

Leaderboard entries are kept while the leaderboard exists, so that the top 3 can be shown. We will delete an entry when asked.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) and the Children's Code, you, or a parent or carer on your behalf, can ask us to see, correct or delete a leaderboard entry, and you can object to how we use it. Email support@redpharos.com with the letters, level and coins shown, and roughly when it was added.

Changes

If we change how the game uses information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
